The classic wardrobe is something that is the backbone of your style. It’s something that can be added to on-trend pieces, or worn as separately for a timeless look. But what makes up a classic wardrobe?

The Suit

A good suit will stand you in good stead for a long time. Going for a classic one colour such as black, dark blue or grey allows it to be worn to pretty much any occasion. Worn with a monk strap shoe or traditional brogue, and a white button down shirt teamed with a black tie can make for the perfect look. Mix it up with a colourful pocket square in on-trend colours which elevates and adds character to this timeless look.

The Jeans

The humble jean is possibly the ultimate classic fixture for your wardrobe. They have the ability to work for not just the everyday wear, but can transform for smart casual events too. Classic straight leg or slim legged jeans without any distress or designs are the perfect addition to your wardrobe, and are great for the office or casual events. However if you’re more of a lover of  the skinny jean then worn with a blazer and patterned shirt make for a great look.

Avoid extremely tight jeans, as they can look a touch ridiculous and not all of us have the drain pipe thin legs to pull them off.
